Appointment Request – What To Expect
Call our office for an appointment at 707-578-2020. Examinations are available Monday through Saturday. Typically, we are scheduled three weeks in advance and accept the following vision insurance plans: VSP and Original Medicare.
Plan on arriving ten minutes prior to your appointment to complete the Welcome to the Office paperwork.Prior to seeing our Doctors, a visual field test will check for abnormal blind spots which may be a sign of glaucoma and retinal or neurological disease.
If you have elected Optos retinal photography instead of traditional dilation, this test will occur after the visual field testing. The eye examination is not painful. The health of your eyes and the quality of your vision will be evaluated.
If you require glasses, our expert staff will help you with your frame and lens selection. If contact lenses are an option, we will help you learn how to insert and remove the lenses and you will return to the office for an evaluation of your cornea and to check your vision. Its important to wear the contacts at least four hours prior to your appointment.
In some cases, we can have your new glasses ready the same day. We have a laboratory on site and edge single vision lenses in house. Although, most insurance plans require their laboratory to edge the lenses.
